Roundup: Ghana Premier League transfers



Ahead of start of the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League, which kicks off this weekend, some domestic top flight clubs have been busy in the market making new acquisitions to augment their teams.

BA United have completed the signing of former Premier League goalking Alex Asamoah on a one year deal. 
The former Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold SC attacker’s arrival at BA Stars is expected to help the promoted club improve its goal scoring rate and maintain its Premiership status by the close of the season.
After renewing the contracts of defender Abeiku Ainooson and midfielders Michael Akuffo and Richard Mpong, Asante Kotoko sealed the capture of Amidaus goalkeeper Ofori Antwi, Bechem United left-back Emmanuel Asante and Liberty Professionals attacker Atta Kusi, Latif Amadu and Berekum Chelsea pair Obed Owusu and Jackson Owusu.

The Kumapem lads sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak signed nine new players including goalkeepers Soulama Abdoulaye and Seidu Mutawakilu. The others are Vincent Atinga, Issa Mumuni, Richard Yamoah, Komi Foovi, Kwame Kizito, Isaac Mensah and Shaun October.

AshantiGold SC acquired defender Ransford Kwakye from King Faisal and 20-year-old Emmanuel Osei Baffour, who was handed a three-year-deal.

Great Olympics completed the signing of 5 players including experienced goalkeeper Frank Andoh, Tema Youth pair Daniel Appiah and Isaac Nyarko, ex-Hearts and Lions midfielder Abraham Anna and Joshua Oninku from Ebusua Dwarfs.

Inter Allies managed to secure the services of striker Sulley Mohammed from King Faisal and attacker Allan Shearer from Aduana Stars. Another player who completed a move to the Tema based side was Sam Ayew Yeboah, who joined on a free transfer in November last year.

Medeama SC signed ex-Tema Youth midfielder Conney Idan from Heart of Lions.
Bechem United registered 15 new players including former Hearts of Oak attacker Isaac Nyamwero, Wonder Kudovo from Okwawu United and former Kotoko goalkeeper Rashid Seidu. The rest are Prince Adadekor and ex-Wassaman player Michael Tetteh.
