Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics must start looking for a new venue
to host their home games in the Ghana Premier League as the National
Sports Authority has resolved to freeze the usage of the Accra Stadium
pitch, celosport sources have revealed.
The decision to freeze the usage of the pitch is to ensure
maintenance of the playing surface, which was used to host social events
during the Christmas break.
The pitch is expected to be reopened for use by the Premier League
clubs at the end of January 2015 but sources say the period for the
regreening of the playing surface could delay.
Hearts, who are serving a two match home ban, will not need to hire a
new venue until match day five when the Phobians face city rivals
Liberty Professionals on February 4th.
On the other hand, the management of Great Olympics will need to
start looking for a new venue to host their match-day two fixture
against Heart of Lions on January 21st.
