FAN FAVORATE PLAYER BACK ON THIS YEAR'S SPRITE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Chief Executive Officer of Rite multimedia  organizers of the Sprite Basketball Championship Yaw Sakyi Afari has confirmed to Starr FM Sports that this year’s  event  will for the second time running see fans voting for their favorite player dubbed the fans favorite Player. The two day event   which will start on the 10^th and ends on the 11^th of this month at the El wak sports stadium will see Defending champions Keta Senior High, Adisadel College, Kings College and debutants Mpraeso Senior High and Opoku Ware in the men’s division with defending champions TI Amass, St Mary’s SHS, Mfantseman Girls, Aggrey Memorial, Nkawkaw Senior High, Ahantaman and Labone Senior High also battling for the honors in the women’s   division. Yaw Sakyi Afare explained the modalities and procedure for selecting   or nominating the fans  favorite Player award.

“We’ve had a lot of engagement with the schools and all the schools that are coming. They are coming particularly because there is another introduction to the whole tournament, what we called the Fan favorite Player and infact last year we had a girl from Agrey memorial and a Guy from Opoku Ware been voted as the Fans favorite player and guess what they do, you know when you come in to the venue you are given a bottle of Sprit. And so there will be a time where the technical committee will shortlist a few people and we going to have some containers branded with their names so if you feel this lady is your favorite player you go and drop your can cock in a box”.
