Liberty Professional forward Kennedy Ashia claims he is not in a hunt
for the Premier League goalking title after the 20-year-old bagged a
brace for the Scientific Soccer lads in the 2-0 win over B.A United in
Dansoman on Wednesday.
The ex-SK Brann attacker struck past goalkeeper Lawrence Osei in the 67th and 76th minutes to hand the Dansoman based club maximum points after returning from national team duty with the Black Meteors in Egypt.
“Now am working for my club so if I am privileged to score in every match I will give thanks to God but I am not after goalking,” Ashia told Starr Sports.
Kennedy Ashia and 4 other players – Stephen Baffour, Samuel Afful, Usman Muntaka and Kwame Boateng are tied on two goals apiece on the scorer’s chart with Gilbert Fiamenyo leading the goal-king race with 3 goals from 2 matches.
