President of Ghana Volleyball
Association, Paul Atsu believes the rights given to Ghana to host the Beach
Volleyball All African Games qualification will help popularize the sport in
the country.
The tournament which is scheduled to take place at the La Pleasure
Beach on February 24 will involve Ghana, Cote d’lvoire, Burkina Faso and
Liberia who are all grouped in zone three.
The winner of the qualification will
automatically progress to the All African Games in Brazzaville, Congo in
September 5.
Paul Atsu explains to Starr FM Sports the reason why his association
decided to accept to host the All African Games qualifiers in Ghana.
“this hosting goes with exposure and showcasing the game
Beach Volleyball to Ghanians and the beach volleyball facility is abundance,
we have the beautiful sandy beaches around Labadi so that is where we will be
hosting the tournament”.
