CAF BANNED MOROCO FROM TWO AFCON TOURNAMENT





The CAF executive committee has banned Morocco from partaking in the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup Of nations after pulling out of hosting this year’s AFCON tournament. 

Morocco opted out of hosting the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in light of the Ebola crisis across the continent. The country had based its request to postpone the tournament to 2016 to prevent the possible spread of the disease that has ravaged three countries in west Africa, and avoid
The country have asked for the tournament to be shifted to 2016 to prevent the possible spread of the disease that has ravaged three countries in west Africa, Liberia, Guinea and Serra Leon and to avoid harming their tourism industry.

The CAF Committee, in a meeting today in Malabo took a final decision on the Moroccans refusal to host the 2015 tournament and that was to ban them from taking part in two AFCON tournaments.
