CAF has appointed the Gabon top referee Eric Otogo-Castane to
officiate in the semi-final clash between The Black Stars and the host Nation
on Thursday. Celosport can confirm
Eric became a FIFA referee in 2011 and CAF elite referee
since November of the same year. He will be aided by Abdelhak Etchiali from
Algeria The referee and Jerson Emiliano dos Santos from Angola.
Ghana who are playing
their fifth consecutive semi- finals since 2008 beat Guinea 3-0 in the
quarter-final to book a last-four slot.
Otogo-Castane is familiar to Ghanaians as he was the referee
when the four-time African champions were beaten by Mali in the third place
match in 2013.
