STOP BRANDING PLAYERS AS OLD MEN-RAHIM AYEW

Ghanaian International, Rahim Ayew has strongly hit out at the sports media for branding players as old men when they return from Europe to revive their careers back home. The first son of legend Abedi Pele who is currently without a club after ending his romance with Champions Asante Kotoko Rahim is urging the media to encourage players who return to the local League as he believes that tagging them as dead horses is discouraging. Speaking in an interview with our sister station Ultimate 106.9 in Kumasi, the former Asante Kotoko and Sekondi Eleven Wise Player says the European based players still have a lot to offer the League.
" when i was playing in Europe, i met most Ghanaian players who are there without Clubs but refuse to come home to  play for their country. this is because most journalist brand them as being old, which in a way is killing our league. take a look atb Richard Kingston, he is old but he is still keeping the poles and Godwin Attram is also playing. it is only Godwin Attram and Richard Kingston beat Kotoko 3-0, what showed that they were old. journalists must stop that attitude."
