President of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that Black Stars Coach Avram Grant has approved a proposal for the physical trainer of the senior national team, Jamie Lawrence to join the video analyst, Michael Otchere to help the Black Satellites campaign at the 2015 Africa Youth Championship.
The decision for Otchere and Lawrence to beef up the technical team of the Black Satellites is to improve the Ghana Under-20 side’s chances of winning the 2015 AYC in Senegal.
“The Black Stars enjoyed the services of a physical trainer and a video analyst, in addition to that the head coach of the Black Stars has been seconded and we have transferred all these expertise to the U20 team so we can raise the bar as far as the level of the Black Stars,” Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Joy FM.
The Black Satellites, who are set to face Iraq in a pre-tournament friendly on Monday in Antalya, Turkey, have been drawn in Group B of the Senegal 2015 alongside Mali, Zambia and South Africa in the competition, which commences on March 8.
