Nyantakyi is Hayatou’s heir apparent - Alhaji Raji
The chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association Alhaji Raji has tagged Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi as a Caf president in the making.
Nyantakyi, the nation’s fifth Caf Executive Committee member in history, has announced his desire to contest for the highest position of the continent’s football governing body, but not while the incumbent Issa Hayatou is still in office.
“Take it and mark it for today, this is a Caf president in the making. We need to give him the support. Our friend has got so close to this position and there is no need to rock the boat,” Raji told Starr Sports.
Ghana’s first FA boss Ohene Djan was on the Caf Executive Committee and came close to becoming the body’s head before the 1966 coup d’état.
