Ghana
winger Andre Ayew has denied claims in the media that he has signed a
one-year contract extension at Olympique Marseille.
French media outlet L’Equipe published an interview with Ayew, where the 25-year-old had stated that he decided to extend his contract by one more year at Marseille after receiving a call from Vincent Labrune. “I called him when I saw the stories and he told me he has not signed a contract extension. It’s completely untrue,” the spokesperson of the Ayew family, Fiifi Tackie told DailySoccerGhana.com. Andre Ayew, whose current deal at Marseille ends on June 30 next year, is being chased by Liverpool, Inter Milan and Napoli.
