The Ghana FA is close to finalizing a deal with the GN Bank to become the
headline sponsor of the National Division One League effective next season, celosports
can confirm.
The Division One League has not had a sponsor since PolyTank pulled out of
its deal with the Ghana FA two seasons ago.
GN Bank is owned by politician Paa Kwesi Nduom, the bankroller of Division
One League club Elmina Sharks.
Meanwhile, the GFA Congress has scrapped the National Middle League, meaning
the new Division One League format will have clubs competing in three zones
only.
The winners of the three zones will be promoted to the Premier League.
