Head Coach of the Ghana Amputee
Football team, Ali Jara has defended the Black Challenge’s trip to Culinacan,
Mexico for the 2014 Amputee Football World Cup though the team was disqualified
due to their late arrival.
Ghana could not participate in the tournament in Mexico because the Black Challenge was faced with difficulties in securing tickets and visas for the contingent. Ali Jara claims it was never a waste of money traveling to Mexico for the Amputee Football World Cup despite Ghana’s disqualification.

“I don’t think it was a waste of money, although
we didn’t play any friendly matches. We traveled 34 hours to another country
which even our life was at stake. We traveled for 3 days to Argentina, I think
if we were able to do our things well we could have gone there to make Ghana
proud”.
