WOMEN SOCCER NOT NEGLECTED

The technical director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng has told Starr FM Sports that numerous policies have been put in place to uplift the image of women’s football in Ghana and to make it a model in West African. The FA has come under a lot of flak in recent times following the failure of the Black Queens to qualify for next year’s Women’s World Cup in Canada after a disappointing showing in Namibia. Over the years some pundits believe the FA has over concentrated on the Black Stars to the detriment of the other national sides. But Coach Oti Akenteng, tells Starr FM Sports that several grass root courses have been undertaken to train the ladies in both technical and administrative areas.
