Private cars are privately own by individuals who
can afford to buy. This type of transport system is not commercially patronized
but use for private purposes. It comes in different sizes and types. One
chooses to buy a particular car base on the size or type and also base on what
he or she can afford. The types of private own cars include range rover, Honda,
BMW, (salon cars/4 wheel cars).
a 4- wheel cars have it four tyres moving at the same time when the car is in motion but with the salon cars its only the front tyres that move.
The sizes of private cars are mostly based on the
engine capacity. Eg, Toyota corolla- 1.6, Mercedes Benz- 2.0 and many more.
Though private cars are owned by individuals for
private purposes, now a days, most private cars owners have now turn this
transport system into a commercial use. They give it out for hiring and even
use it as a taxi even though they are not painted with taxi colors.
Most Ghanians prefer to own their own cars because
of conveniences but in Ghana private cars can be said to be own by 20% 0f the
population. This is because not most Ghanians have the financial capacity to patronize it.
The hygienic nature of private cars is mostly based
on the users. The way the owner maintain the car tells how hygienic the car
will be.
Though private cars are convenience to use and also
prevent one from fighting over commercial vehicles, owning one is very
expensive. This is because one is faced with maintenance of the car and fueling the car also which cost a lot.
